Marani Silovani Winery is located in the village of Sachamiaseri in the Chokhatauri region of Guria. Winemaker Lasha Skhvitaridze took over the winemaking legacy of the family and named the winery in honor of his grandfather, Silovani. Lasha is proud of his family’s natural winemaking, and the winery is a proud member of the Georgian Natural Wine Association.
The Tsolikouri grapes are hand-harvested and placed into qveri (buried clay amphorae) for 5 months of maceration. The wine ages a further 6 months in the qveri before being bottled. Ages for 4 years in bottle. Unfined, unfiltered, no added S02.
