GRAPES: 100% GRÜNER VELTLINER
SKIN CONTACT: 10 DAYS
REGION: SONOMA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
Vinification method: Evan Lewandowski loves Grüner for the diversity in taste it can produce. "Stock Pot" leans fully into its savory notes, trying to elicit the smells and tastes of your Grandma's crock pot (the winery is named after his beloved grandma Ruth).
The grapes are hand-harvested from the Rancho Coda Vineyard in the Russian River Valley and undergo whole cluster maceration for about 10 days. Fermentation was spontaneous with no temperature control, and the wine undergoes native malolactic conversion. It's then aged for 5 months on the lees. Unfined, unfiltered, and no added S02.
Tasting notes: light to medium-bodied, green apple, celery, pea shoots, white pepper
Pairings: pork loin filets in mushroom sauce with white asparagus
Mix and match 3, 6 or 12 bottles!
