LÉO DIRRINGER “VIROSE”
2025
GRAPES: GEWÜRZTRAMINER, WITH A LITTLE PINOT GRIS
SKIN CONTACT: 4 DAYS
REGION: ALSACE, FRANCE
Producer: Léo Dirringer is the fourth generation of a wine-growing family in Dambach-la-Ville, in Alsace, farming fourteen hectares on granite. After studying oenology in Switzerland, where he fell for natural wine, he now works his vines with an organic, hands-off approach and a zero-zero cellar.
Vinification: La Virose is a skin-contact white of Gewürztraminer with a splash of Pinot Gris, given four days on the skins with a spontaneous fermentation, then eight months on the fine lees in steel. Bottled without clarification. Unfined, unfiltered, with no added sulfur.
Tasting notes: medium-bodied, rose petal, lychee, ripe pear and orange zest, with gentle spice and a light grip
Pairings: Thai green curry, roasted squash with spice, Munster
DRINK: NOW TO 2029
