Producer: Marto Weiss Rheinischer Landwein 2023 is a skin-contact white wine produced by Marto, the label of winemaker Martin Wörner, based in the village of Flonheim in the Rheinhessen region of Germany. The wine is a field blend of organically farmed white varieties, including Müller-Thurgau, Scheurebe, Riesling, Kerner, Bacchus, Würzer, and Faberrebe, grown on old vines in sandstone soils. This wine is the first one he ever made starting in 2016.
Vinification method: Grapes are hand-harvested, co-fermented with native yeasts, and macerated on the skins for two to four weeks before aging in old barrels and foudres. Marto Weiss Rheinischer Landwein 2023 is bottled unfined, unfiltered, and without added sulfites at 10% ABV.
